about shana

Shana West is an exhibit developer with Science Museum of Minnesota in St. Paul. She was previously a content specialist with Synergy Design Group in Tallahassee, Florida. Shana graduated in 2008 with a master's degree in museology from the University of Washington. She is particularly interested in how museums can be subtle activists for growth and change.

Previously, Shana was the coordinator for Transforming Museums, an interdisciplinary academic conference, also at the UW. She helped to realize its national scope through the development of a mission, vision, and three-year strategic plan. As part of her role, she led and managed a team of 12 classmates to make it all happen.
