This is only the half of it! OMFG, I sing your praises!
It was such a clear day today that looking up at something as mundane as a streetlamp inspired my appreciation.
I found a shocking and unpleasant surprize on my walk home today. These things are hella poisonous!!
I am in major kitty withdrawal since coming to Japan, so I was elated when I got to pet Sera at the restaurant called Miki in Kubokawa.
This is a rice field harvest near Ekawasaki Station. They hang the rice up to dry out. I believe that rice takes a year of preparation before it can be eaten.
The Sugimotos surprized me with a birthday party! They are the best ever. It was a joint welcome party for the Lithuanian exchange student in Kochi City, Urte. We went shopping in the afternoon and bought tons of food, then we ate all night and drank delicious red wine. This pic is from Urte--thanks, Urte!
What a lovely way to celebrate my 25th year--thanks, Angela and Paige!!
I love my village-mate, Paige. I almost love the little jumping spiders that watch me write Sarcenet from the curtains and walls. Just don't bite me, you little bastards.
